Today’s global food security crisis requires leaders to deliver urgent humanitarian assistance while also investing in resilience so communities can better respond to future shocks. The United States, through the Feed the Future initiative, has made long-term investments for more than a decade that boost agricultural productivity, reduce hunger and improve nutrition, building the capacities of people and systems in ways that help communities cope with unexpected shocks.
