Women have always worked in agrifood systems. It’s time we made these systems work for women. The majority of women in the poorest countries work in agrifood systems. This means that their well-being, incomes and ability to feed their families depends on systems that are fair and inclusive for women. It is impossible to transform agrifood systems without gender equality and women’s empowerment.
