Feed the Future Research Strategy

The Feed the Future Research Strategy (pdf, 657.3kb) reflects more than a year of analysis, technical review, and broad stakeholder consultation and engagement. USAID conducted initial analyses to identify opportunities for research to contribute to the agricultural goals of the Feed the Future strategy, and more than 50 experts were consulted during the strategy framing process. In February 2010, technical experts from the university, private sector, and U.S. Government research communities gathered to provide input on the criteria that should be used to guide research priority selection. The Research Strategy draft was subjected to an external review process by more than 20 experts from USDA, the CGIAR, U.S. universities, independent international agricultural consultants, and the private sector, and the draft was revised to respond to the comments.
